Installation & Crating in Fort Mill

We cover Fort Mill, about fifty minutes from Gaffney. It is one of the highest-value markets on our map: new-build great rooms, two-story foyers and homeowners who have just moved down from Charlotte with good pieces and no interest in gambling on the wall.

Fort Mill is Charlotte money on a South Carolina tax bill, and the housing shows it. Baxter Village, Kingsley, Springfield and the Massey side are built around open great rooms with stone or shiplap fireplace surrounds and ceilings that put a television well above comfortable ladder height.

That produces a specific job over and over: a large-format set above a fireplace, on a full-motion arm, with the wires run inside the wall. It is the mount most people are nervous about and it is the one we do most. We set a laser line before anything goes in the wall, anchor into real structure, and hold the set to within a sixteenth of an inch.

The second Fort Mill pattern is the two-story foyer. New builds here love the height, and the height is exactly what stops most installers hanging a heavy mirror or an oversized piece of art on that wall. Weight plus reach is what people call us for after somebody else has said no.

Because so much of Fort Mill is a recent move, the work often arrives all at once. Furniture to assemble, a rack or a Peloton for the bonus room, art still in its packing, and a television in a box in the garage. We would rather do that in one visit than four.

Crating turns up here mostly around relocation - people arriving with a piece that survived the move by luck rather than design, and people leaving who have learned that lesson. If something is fragile, valuable or shaped wrong for a carton, a crate built around it is the answer.
