Installation & Crating in Rock Hill
About forty-five minutes east of Gaffney through York County.
We cover Rock Hill and the rest of York County, about forty-five minutes east of Gaffney. It is a Charlotte commuter market with South Carolina prices, which means a lot of newly built great rooms, a lot of move-ins, and a lot of good pieces arriving in boxes.
Rock Hill is the fastest-changing market on our map. York County has absorbed years of people who work in Charlotte and wanted a house rather than a condo, and the result is a city with two completely separate housing conversations happening at once.
Old Town Rock Hill and the streets around Winthrop are established - brick, plaster in places, mature trees and houses that have been worked on at least twice. The walls there reward care. The chimney breast is usually real masonry, the plaster is usually over lath, and nothing about the framing is on a predictable sixteen-inch center.
Then there is everything built since: Riverwalk, the Baxter side toward Fort Mill, and the subdivisions spreading out along Dave Lyle and Celanese. Open plan, engineered lumber, two-story foyers and great rooms designed around a television that has not been bought yet. That is the above-fireplace mount with an in-wall wire run, and it is most of our Rock Hill volume.
The move-in pattern here is worth calling out. People arrive from Charlotte, from the Northeast, from wherever the job came from, and they arrive with everything at once - the furniture, the art, the gym equipment, the television. A single visit that mounts the TV, hangs the mirrors, lays out the gallery wall and builds the rack is far better value than four separate trips, and it is how a lot of our York County days are booked.
Crating turns up here for a specific reason: York County is where things get stored. Between the moves in and the moves out, people put pieces into storage units for six months and discover that a climate-controlled unit does nothing about the fact that everything gets stacked. A crate is the difference between a marble top surviving storage and a marble top surviving until somebody stacks a box on it.
Rock Hill also gives us the shortest hop to Fort Mill, Tega Cay, York, Clover and Indian Land, which means a York County day usually covers more than one town. If you are in Clover or York proper and the job is small, tell us when you call - it is often easier to attach it to a Rock Hill run than to schedule it on its own.
Winthrop's presence adds a steady trickle of a job most people never think about: framed work and instruments that need to move safely between a campus and a house. Small, awkward, valuable and exactly what a purpose-built crate is for.

Questions
Rock Hill FAQ
Can you do everything in one visit after a move to Rock Hill?
That is how most of our York County days are booked. Mount the television, hang the mirrors and art, build the gym equipment and the furniture, all in one trip rather than four.
Should I crate something before it goes into a storage unit?
For anything fragile or irreplaceable, yes. Climate control does not stop things being stacked, and stacking is what damages pieces in storage. A crate carries the load through the frame instead of through your piece.
Do you cover York, Clover and Fort Mill as well?
Yes - all of York County. If your job is small and you are in York or Clover, say so when you call and we will often attach it to a Rock Hill run.
How long is the drive from Gaffney to Rock Hill?
About forty-five minutes. It is a normal service day for us and there is no travel surcharge.
