Installation & Crating in Spartanburg

About thirty minutes down I-85 - our closest metro.

Spartanburg is our closest sizeable market - about thirty minutes down I-85 - and the one we can most often reach the same day. TV mounting, furniture and gym assembly, heavy item moves and custom crating, across the city and out through Boiling Springs, Duncan and Inman.

Being half an hour away changes what Spartanburg calls us for. This is our short-notice market. A television before the weekend. A treadmill that arrived without a usable manual. A mirror that has been leaning in the hallway since the move and now has guests coming. If there is a gap in the schedule and you are on this side of town, there is a real chance we can fit you in.

The city itself has two distinct kinds of house. Converse Heights, Hampton Heights and the streets around Duncan Park are early-twentieth-century: plaster over lath, deep baseboards, chimney breasts, and framing that was laid out by someone who was not thinking about a wall-mounted screen. Those walls are perfectly good to work with as long as you find out what is actually behind them first.

Out through Boiling Springs, Duncan, Lyman and Reidville it is the opposite - subdivisions built in the last twenty years along the I-85 and Highway 9 growth corridor, engineered lumber, open great rooms and a lot of bonus space. That is where the large-format televisions and the home gym equipment are.

The BMW corridor is worth naming because of what it does to the market. Between the plant, its supplier base and the airport at GSP, Spartanburg County has a steady stream of people relocating in and out - often internationally, often on a company timetable. That produces two things we do a lot of: full move-in installs where everything gets mounted, hung and assembled in one visit, and crating for pieces that are leaving the country.

That second one is where the specialty work shows up in a market people would not expect it in. If a piece is being shipped overseas, ISPM 15 applies to the wood packaging itself - it has to be heat treated and stamped or the shipment gets refused at the port. Say so when you call and we will build to that standard from the start.

Furniture and gym assembly are the steady volume here. Flat-pack wardrobes, office workstations, pool tables, racks and treadmills. Nothing glamorous, but a pool table that is not level is a pool table nobody uses, and a rack that is out of square is genuinely dangerous. We build it right and check it while we are still standing there.

Thirty minutes on I-85 also means Spartanburg is where we most often stack two or three jobs into one trip. If you are flexible on the day, say so - it sometimes helps the scheduling and it never hurts.

What we do most in Spartanburg

Closest metro to our Gaffney base at about thirty minutes on I-85.

  • Furniture and gym assembly

Flat-pack, workstations, pool tables and home gym equipment - the steady volume here.

  • Relocation crating

The BMW and GSP corridor moves people internationally. Pieces leaving the country need ISPM 15 wood.

Questions

Spartanburg FAQ

Can you come out to Spartanburg the same day?

More often than anywhere else we serve. It is thirty minutes from our Gaffney base, so if the schedule has a gap we can usually fit a Spartanburg job in. Call early.

Do you assemble pool tables in Spartanburg?

Yes, and we relocate them. A pool table is a levelling job more than an assembly job, and that is the part that gets underestimated.

I am relocating overseas. Can you crate my furniture?

Yes. Tell us the destination when you call - international shipments fall under ISPM 15, which requires the wood packaging to be heat treated and stamped, and untreated wood gets refused at the port.

Do you cover Boiling Springs, Duncan and Inman?

All of them, plus Lyman, Reidville, Moore, Roebuck and Woodruff. The whole Spartanburg County growth corridor is inside a normal service day for us.
