Installation & Crating in Gastonia

Gastonia is about thirty-five minutes up I-85 from Gaffney, which makes Gaston County one of the easiest markets we serve. TV mounting, art and mirror hanging, gym and furniture assembly, and custom crating - across the city and out through Belmont, Mount Holly and Dallas.

Gaston County sits between us and Charlotte, and that position is the whole story of the market. It has Charlotte's demand without Charlotte's drive, and a housing stock that runs from mill-village cottages to riverfront houses on the Catawba.

Downtown Gastonia and the Loray and Highland neighborhoods are early industrial housing - small, solid, and full of the framing surprises that come with a hundred-year-old building. Plaster, non-standard centers and chimney stacks that are genuinely structural. Those houses have been reworked in waves, so what is behind a wall is often not what the outside of it suggests.

The other Gastonia is the newer development spreading south and east toward Belmont and the river. Bigger rooms, higher ceilings, a lot of stone fireplace surrounds and the large-format television that goes with them. Belmont and Mount Holly in particular have taken on a Charlotte-adjacent character - restored downtowns, riverfront builds, and homeowners who buy the seventy-five-inch set and then want the wires gone.

In-wall wire concealment is the single most-requested add-on in this market. People have seen the mount done badly - a screen bolted up with a power cord swinging below it - and they want the other version. Where the wall allows a clean run we do it, and where it does not we say so before we start rather than after.

Crating in Gaston County is driven by two things. One is the river and lake houses, where good furniture and art move seasonally and get handled more times than furniture should. The other is the industrial base: machinery, equipment and parts that need a crate built to a shipping standard rather than a moving standard. We do both, and the second one is closer to what our crates were designed for than most people assume.

Crowders Mountain and the western side of the county keep us in a mix of older ranch houses and newer construction on larger lots, where the jobs tend to be practical - assembly, mounting, moving something heavy that two people should not be moving alone.
