TV Mounting & Removal

Yes, we mount above the fireplace, and on brick, stacked stone, tile and concrete. It is the job we do most. We set a laser line before a single hole goes in the wall, find real structure behind the finish, and hang the set so it reads level from every seat in the room.

Taking a TV down, not just putting one up

We remove televisions as well as mount them, and it is a separate job with its own problems. A set that has been on the wall for six years is heavier than the person taking it down expects, the bracket is usually seized, and the mount behind it was installed by somebody who is not there any more.

We take the set off the wall, remove the bracket, and pull the anchors. Where you want the wall back to normal we patch the holes and paint them, if you have the paint. Where the television is going somewhere else in the house we will remount it in the same visit.

If the old set is being disposed of, we take it with us. If it is going into storage or onto a truck, that is a crating conversation - a large panel travels badly without a frame around it, and we build those too.

Can you mount a TV above a fireplace?

Yes, and it is the job we do most. Brick, stacked stone, tile and concrete surrounds are all routine. We laser the line first, anchor into real structure, and tell you before we start if the wall will not take a clean wire run.

Do you bring the wall mount?

No - you supply the mount, we handle the install. If you are not sure which one fits your TV and your wall, call before you buy and we will tell you what will work.

Can you mount on brick, stone or concrete?

Yes. Brick, stacked stone, tile and concrete are all routine for us, and so is drywall over any of them.

Will you hide the wires?

Whenever the wall allows it, yes. We will tell you straight up before we start if a wall will not take a clean wire run.

How long does a mount take?

Most take 30 to 60 minutes depending on the wall and the size of the set. Above a fireplace with wire concealment runs longer.

Do I need to clear the room first?

Just the area around the wall we are working on. We cover what stays and clean up before we leave.

Do you remove old TVs as well as mount new ones?

Yes. We take the set off the wall, remove the bracket, pull the anchors, and patch and paint the holes if you have the paint. If the old set is being disposed of we take it with us.

Can you take a TV down and remount it somewhere else in the house?

Yes, and doing both in one visit costs you less time than two trips. Tell us where it is going when you book so we bring the right anchors for the new wall.
